Lost Children

Jag arbetar oftast i projekt med längre serier. Sedan tre år har jag varit verksam med projektet ”Lost Children”, vilket hittills består av drygt hundra porträtt av barn från olika europeiska länder. Bilderna är baserade på fotografier jag hittat i arkiv, där människor har anmälts försvunna efter andra världskriget. Jag har sedan tolkat dessa fotografier och livsöden i broderier. Har valt att arbeta i textil för att uppnå ett mjukt och taktilt uttryck, i kontrast till temat. Ett genomgående tema i mina arbeten är att undersöka normer och maktstrukturer. Delar av projektet har varit utställda på Konstnärshuset i Stockholm.

I usually work in projects with longer series. For three years I have been active with the project "Lost Children", which so far consists of more than a hundred portraits of children from different European countries. The pictures are based on photographs I found in archives, where people are reported missing after World War II. I have since interpreted these photographs and lives in embroidery. Has chosen to work in textiles to achieve a soft and tactile expression, in contrast to the theme. A recurring theme in my work is to examine norms and power structures. Parts of the project have been exhibited at Konstnärshuset in Stockholm
